OZEV Government Grants

The government are helping us to transition over to electric vehicles by issuing grants and you may be eligible.

Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)

This is a scheme for home owners.

You will benefit from a government grant that provides 75% towards the cost of the charge point up to a maximum of £350, leaving a customer contribution that starts from just £529.

To be eligible you will need:

Off street parking.
You must have purchased your Vehicle after 1st october 2016, or your vehicle is on order for delivery within 4 months.
To be the registered keeper (V5), The Lessee of the Vehicle, or a named driver of Company vehicle for more than 6 Months.
Be the owner or have permission from the owner of the property to have a charge point installed.

Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

This is a scheme for business owners.

You will benefit from a government grant that provides £350 towards the cost of each charge point socket. this is limited to 40 individual charge sockets within your business giving a total saving of up to £14,000 inc vat.

To be eligible you will need:

Off-street parking with designated space for staff and/or fleet vehicles.
Your business does not need to own an electric vehicle however you do need to declare either a current need for EV charging infrastructure or an intention to encourage uptake amongst your staff and/or fleet.
Own the property or have consent from the landlord for charge points to be installed.
The grant is available for new charge points only (cannot claim on existing ones).
